Risk and Policy Recommendations
Upon completion of assessment of current risks, UVI will identify and develop a set of possible risk reduction strategies and risk mitigation recommendations and strategies. These recommendations and strategies will include structural and nonstructural (e.g., habitat protection, conservation, restoration) projects. UVI will work with communities, its technical staff and other potential partners to evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of these risk reduction strategies and ensure that these strategies are culturally relevant.

Growth Trends and Sustainability Policy Recommendations
UVI will analyze the future growth scenarios and outline investment costs required for the provision of basic infrastructure to accommodate growth in the different scenarios. Our approach will be to consider the total cost of smart growth, as well as estimating specific sector costs such as sanitation, drainage, electricity supply, solid waste collection and recycling and better roads. From the results of the analysis, UVI will develop a series of high level policy recommendations. These recommendations will also include basic costs required for the conservation, restoration or creation of ecosystems to ensure that important ecosystem services are delivered to communities.
